Origin: Medial epicondyle of the humerus

Insertion: Base of the 2nd and 3rd metacarpals

Actions: Flexion of the wrist
. Radial deviation of the wrist

Innervation: Median nerve

Daily uses: Pulling a rope towards you

Insertion: Greater tuberosity on the humerus

Actions:External rotation, 
Shoulder adduction

Innervation: Axillary nerve

Origin: Supraspinous fossa

Insertion: Greater tuberosity of the humerus

Actions: Abduction 
Stabilisation of the humerus

Innervation: Suprascapular nerve

Daily uses: Holding shopping bags away from the body
